We are learning how to conduct research about our own passions. It is important because we are learning to ask questions, document and reflect. We are learning research can be fun!<br \/>\n<br \/>\nWere my assumptions about student background knowledge and skills accurate? Yes and no. They struggle with asking the right questions. Some struggle with google docs and keeping track of resources. Some kids are so lost in general they picked a passion that they don't even want to study further. They don't know themselves well enough to pick a topic to study. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nWere any elements of the lesson more effective than other elements? Peer review and sharing next step plans was way more effective than I realized. Sharing process helped other kids get on track. They also gave each other ideas on where to go next. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nDid some aspects need improvement? I need more time to meet with students! I haven't checked in with everyone, but allowing more time to touch base with other students has helped. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nWere the needs of all learners met? Yes, but it is a process. Each week I'm learning more about what kids need next. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nWhat levels of mastery did students reach?  All levels...some are still growing, some are stuck, some are helping others. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nWhat have I learned about my strengths and my areas in need of improvement? I need to document who I'm meeting with so I touch base with everyone. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nHow am I progressing as a teacher? Learning to take risks and go with the flow.
